For Arma 3 there also is the option to use OpenTrack, which can provide decoupled aim/look for this game by emulating TrackIR input. On my 1080p monitor i'm able to create and run a desktop screen resolution of 2048 x 1536 (its a 4:3 screen ratio), Although i leave the desktop running at 1080p i set Arma 3 to 2048 x 1536 in game.
