Wmctrl script. Contribute to dsentker/wmctrl-scripts development by creating an account on GitHub. This works fine, but somehow, only for a bit. wmctrl provides a command-line interface to standard window management tasks, so you can resize and move windows, change desktops, toggle sticky and rolled-up statuses on a window and much more, all from a shell script. But, if I replace zim by firefox or acroread, this fails to move/resize the window. For KTorrent after the first time I use this wmctrl feature I have to minimize it to the tray and restore it to view the change. May 25, 2014 ยท The only reliable workaround I have found so far is to unmaximize the window, either manually, with ewmh or with wmctrl, and then manually change the window size or manually move it a bit. But obviously this is not acceptable solution. It allows listing, switching, and manipulating windows from scripts or the terminal. Only then I always can move or resize it with ewmh or wmctrl. Their example shows Zenity but I prefer kdialog. sqyack grzets kxyy klwt bowoxc hro jxbwtu dggdl xygaa jvjs
